• Mahmoud (Max) Lasheen, Managing Partner and Senior Consultant

Max is one of the original founders of Cairo Systems. Max is a Networking specialist with 17+ years experience in systems integration, installation, configuration management, data migration, troubleshooting, training and other services to identify and address client needs. His breadth of experience includes positions as Enterprise Specialist, Technical Trainer and Customer Service Engineer with IBM, STG, Seneca, and Digital Quest. He serves as a Senior Information Security and as a Certified Microsoft Instructor for Northern Virginia Community College and the U.S Department of State.

Max holds an engineering degree and Master degree (MS) in Computer Science Specialization in Information Security (IS) from Capella University, Minneapolis, MN as well as technical certifications including CISSP, MCTS, MCSE, MCT, CCNA™, CNE, PSE, PSS, Security+, CCEA, CCIA and POS.

• Jim Wiggins – Managing Partner and Senior Consultant

  Jim possess over 13 years direct experience in information technology management with the past 9 years focused on information systems security.  Early in his career Jim received substantial “hands on experience” managing and overseeing a complex WAN for a company comprised of about 250 users.  At this firm he was able to oversee the deployment and ongoing management of several enterprise wide application rollouts including:  Exchange, SMS, Terminal Services, SharePoint Portal Server, and SQL Server. In this environment he was responsible for the development and implementation of various management controls (policies, procedures, standards, baselines, etc…) necessary to protect critical information assets.  This included ongoing risk management dealing with threat assessment, vulnerability identification and countermeasure selection and implementation.

  He also has an extensive background in technical education and specializes in security related courses such as CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker, Security+ and the SCP program. 

  Jim holds a Bachelors degree from California Polytechnical University – Pomona as well as the following Information Assurance certifications:  CISSP, ISSEP, CISM, CISA, SCNA, SCNP, CAP, SSCP, CEH, ECSA, CHFI, LPT, TICSA, CIWSA, Security+, and MCSE: Security.
